The second “Ancient History Drama” produced by Osaka Broadcasting Station, following “Prince Shotoku” in 2001. Nakatomi Kamatari and Soga Iruka were passionate about reforms in search of a utopia in an era when the ideal state of Japan was uncertain. Through the figures of two young men, the human group of the Asuka period, hidden in the shadows of historical facts and unspoken, is depicted on a magnificent scale. The first part (74 minutes) is “Youth Asuka”, and the second part (74 minutes) is “Oath to a friend”. Written by Shunsaku Ikebata. Music: Michiru Oshima. Starring: Junichi Okada, Atsuro Watanabe, Masato Ibu, Mitsuru Fukikoshi, Shun Oguri and others.
